New Alex Toth Editions from LOAC
Library of American Comics has announced they are bringing back two of their Alex Toth books.
First off, "Bravo for Adventure: Alex Toth Artist’s Edition" is going pack to press and will be available in a new edition.
"Genius, Isolated: The Life and Art of Alex Toth" also returns in a new updated paperback edition.
From LOAC's website -
"Genius, Isolated, the first part of our Eisner and Harvey Award-winning three-volume Alex Toth biography, will receive a brand-new paperback edition. This version will be 8.75″ x 12″ and boasts new content that collectors will appreciate. Updates in Genius, Isolated include clarification on Toth’s early married life in the 1950s and a recently discovered “Jon Fury” page that was not in the hardcover — the conclusion (from December 23, 1955) of the 18-page story that introduces The Fox! Never printed outside Toth’s army newspaper, it’s a prize long sought after by even the most ardent Toth collectors."

Alex Toth's Daughter's Book About Her Father Now on Indiegogo
Alex Toth's daughter Dana Palmer has written a book about the touching journey her father and she made at the end of his life.
In describing the book for us Dana said, "Those who knew my father will read it and understand- but those who do not may be amazed at his other side."
The book titled, "MY FATHER, MY FAITH: A daughter's inspiring true story of medical advocacy and love's ability to heal", is being crowdfunded by Dana on Indiegogo.
From the campaign, "I have been a writer and photographer most of my creative life. I started this project after my father's passing (the late cartoonist Alex Toth), but set it down for over a decade, because it was so emotional to write. Ironically, I found the manuscript on Father's Day 2020, and the rest of the manuscript poured out onto the pages. It was time.
While my father received notoriety and accolades for his work, the truth is, his desire to lean into relationships and love were his greatest unlived dreams. Without that, he felt isolated and alone.
I came back into his life (after 10 years), and he'd not left his house in 20 years. Against all odds, and the predictions of doctors and a psychiatrist, he left to seek medical attention and embark on a new chapter."
Toth fans can help get this book published by ordering and supporting Dana's project running now through Tuesday, November 10, 2020. on Indiegogo.

Yes, I gave Mullaney and Canwell a very hard time for their efforts, but I also lobbied for the best volume of the trilogy, the second, to be nominated for Eisners when I was one of the judges this year---and lo and behold, our man's book got doubly honored.
