The book is nominated for both "Best Comics-Related Book" and "Best Publication Design".

While I'm sure "a nickel a page" is probably an exaggeration, I don't doubt you that the colorists' pay wasn't the greatest -- too bad too, because it certainly was/is an important part of the equation.

I noticed that myself, especially page 7, panel 5. Perhaps Mort assisted him on this one. The hand on that panel is all Toth, though. On page 3, panel 3, the character on the far left looks as if drawn by Jack Sparling

I've just scanned "Track of the invisible beast" from House of Mystery #109, apr. 1961. Jeff, I may send the scans to you for POTD, as far as I know we haven't covered this story yet.
