Alex Toth's Daughter's Book About Her Father Now on Indiegogo

Wed, October 7, 2020
By: Tothfans

Alex Toth's daughter Dana Palmer has written a book about the touching journey her father and she made at the end of his life.

In describing the book for us Dana said, "Those who knew my father will read it and understand- but those who do not may be amazed at his other side."

The book titled, "MY FATHER, MY FAITH: A daughter's inspiring true story of medical advocacy and love's ability to heal", is being crowdfunded by Dana on Indiegogo.

From the campaign, "I have been a writer and photographer most of my creative life. I started this project after my father's  passing (the late  cartoonist Alex Toth), but set it down for  over a decade,  because it was so emotional to write.  Ironically, I found the manuscript on Father's Day 2020, and  the rest of the manuscript poured out onto the pages. It was  time.

While my father received notoriety and accolades for his work, the truth is, his desire to lean into relationships and love were his greatest unlived dreams. Without that, he felt isolated and alone.

I came back into his life (after 10 years), and he'd not left his house in 20 years. Against all odds, and the predictions of doctors and a psychiatrist, he left to seek medical attention and embark on a new chapter."

Toth fans can help get this book published by ordering and supporting Dana's project running now through Tuesday, November 10, 2020. on Indiegogo.

The Toth family is helping a publisher track down the original art or high resolution images of the 8 page story Alex drew called "Daddy and the Pie". Two of the original pages are available through a friend with the remaining 6 to be uncovered. If anyone has a lead, we would appreciate the help. If the we are successful, it will be one more story faithfully re produced for all to enjoy.

Thank you, Eric Toth

NOTE: from tothfans I missed this post from March.

Will there ever be or have they already reprinted the Hot Wheels series with Toth and Adams art? And will there ever be a DC comics reprint of just Alex Toths work?
